Why is it important to talk to YAH first in the Morning?

When you get up in the morning what is the first thing you think about?

Your job? Social media? Money? House? Car? Wife? Husband? Children? Grinding for this world?

None of these things above breathed life into you when you were in the womb, so the first thing we should think about is YAH (God) when we wake up and pray to give Him thanks and give Him a lot of love!

Then we can think about the rest of these things because He is the one that will take care of them all!

We have to treat YAH like He is more important than anything else. To do this, we have to start with giving YAH the time. Spending our time with Him lets YAH know that we need Him! YAH gets offended by us when we leave Him out of things!

Mornings are so important as we go on through our day. The day may bring in much baggages of hardships, trials etc. In the morning it’s a chance for a fresh start or a new beginning, especially with YAH! One of the first things we should do every morning is repent and receive YAH’s mercy. The next thing I say in the morning is “This is the day ELOHIM (God) has made, I will rejoice and be Glad!”. I start to thank Him for EVERY single thing He has done in my life or that He will do throughout the day!

The same way we put on our clothes in the morning to go to work or go throughout our day, we need to get dressed spiritually as well to be prepared for the challenges that we may face. We have to equip ourselves for what the day may bring or even what the enemy may try to bring! Many believers go through the day spiritually naked! Our spiritual clothing is the Ephesians 6 armor that YAH gave us!

In Ephesians 6, one of YAH’s commandments that Paul talks about, is for us to “PUT ON” the full armor of YAH. To put on means to actually wear, so we should envision ourselves putting on the armor like we are putting on spiritual clothing!

Ephesians 6 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahuah and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of Yahuah, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of Yahuah, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Elohim”

So in the morning to “Put On” the breastplate of righteousness, that means we have to put YAH and Yahushua’s (Jesus) commandments in our mind and heart. In doing that we know which way we should go and what we should stay away from. Everything we do and say should line up with the Word of ELOHIM! Next we should put on our feet, the gospel of peace! We should wake up believing and trusting YAH no matter the circumstances or situation. Doing this will give us a peace that surpasses all understanding!

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of Elohim, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Yahushua Mashiach”

Then we should put on the belt of truth, so that any lie that the devil throws our way, or sends to our mind, we will be able to combat it with the truth!

The devil will send voices to our head saying that we are ugly, unworthy, useless, sinners etc.. but with the belt of truth on, we will get reminded of the truth and the truth is in the Word of YAH! We can’t be worthless and ugly because YAH said we are perfectly and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14) and He sent His son to die for us so that we can be saved. So to the God of this universe we are worth saving and worth loving!

“For YAH so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” – John 3:16

The belt of truth will help us to remember these things. After that, we need to put on the helmet of salvation. This helmet helps keep away condemnation that the enemy tries to send to our mind when we mess up. The helmet helps remind us that when we repent, our sins have been paid with the ultimate price by Yahushua so we can be forgiven and redeemed!

1 Corinthians 6:20 “For you were bought with a price. So glorify YAH in your body”

Then take up the sword of the spirit which is the word of ELOHIM! We should start our day reading scripture, preparing ourself for the attacks of the enemy! Once His word is in our spirit, the sword which is the Word of ELOHIM, helps us to be on guard and cut down all the tactics the enemy tries to send our way throughout the day!

Finally, the Word says “ABOVE ALL” which means above everything else, pick up the shield of faith to protect us from the fiery darts the enemy sends us! When we pick up this shield this means that we are starting our day with a mind and heart full of faith! With faith it activates YAH’s power, and no matter what happens throughout the day, faith will help us to get through it, especially when we trust YAH with all of our heart! (Proverbs 3:5)

Next to the Armor of YAH, we need to put on the armor of light which is putting on Yahushua!

Romans 13:12 “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light”

How do we put Yahushua on us? It’s clothing ourself with the Master Yahushua Messiah by making no provision for the flesh to fulfill it’s lust! Being an example of Him to everyone you encounter that day, so when they see you, they see Yahushua!

These scriptures show the mindset we should start out with every morning…

Psalms 143:8 “Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you”

Psalms 30:5 “weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning”

With YAH, joy always comes in the morning! It doesn’t matter how the night ended for us, we should always start our morning full of joy like He does knowing He is in full control of our lives! This helps you bring in the presence of Yahuah and Yahushua everywhere you go! This will get you ready for anything the day brings! I suggest doing all this every morning!
